Over the past year I saved some pictures that caught my interest for the moment. I can't remember what I was thinking at the time so I am posting them here with the intention to come back from time to time with some new captions. Caption suggestions are encouraged.

I've Lost My Head
Playful minds with creative tendencies come up
with cool stuff like this frog tape dispenser. I would like to have one for my inner child to think of games to play with it. I saw it on line
about two months ago and saved the picture. |
Nike goddess of victory. I wonder what she looked like. What expression she had on her face. My guess is that she looked ahead without emotion and had the usual classical features. Maybe she wore a hat or a crown. She once had arms and hands. What were they doing. These are things for contemplation.

Looking for cartoon characters to use as my profile picture on facebook I came across this old picture of Micky and Minnie dancing. I didn't use it but saved the picture. Saving things is in my nature so I end up with a lot of clutter which I hate. Therefore, I'm never satisfied.

| Who are those Four Guys? |
People were always arguing on the web in different chat rooms and comments and sometimes got quite nasty and hostile. The worst would call the other a Nazi or like Hitler. That is when there is no more to say. The argument is ended.

| Dancing Peasants |
The following three artworks couldn't be more different and yet they are all fascinating to me. The intaglio black and white print of "Dancing Peasants" by Durer has a lusty, awkward feeling to it. I think of dancing as a happy activity but this image doesn't invoke happiness for me. Possibly because the people look old, heavy and worn out. It's kind of funny at the same time. The abstraction is an aboriginal painting which I'm sorry I don't know the artist's name is a depiction of a funeral ceremony. It is filled with color and pattern. It has a musical quality to it. It's the kind of painting I most admire. The painting "Wounded Angel" by Hugo Simberg has a sad guilt ridden feeling for me. Two boys carrying a blind-folded angel on a gurney. The one on the right looks accusingly at the viewer. They are all children so I'm thinking maybe the symbolism is the loss of innocence.

| Too Many Choices! |
The following objects are little monkeys holding their tails, cast in bronze and sterling silver done by my brother Stan K. Stan carved them from a peach pit. He learned this from our father. The eyes are inlaid with rubies and emeralds.
